| This site takes you through the calendar of the Eastern Church by presenting an icon of the major feast days of the year. In addition to these feast days, we will present icons of Christ The Pantocrator (Christ the Almighty), Theotokas (The Mother of God) and other Saints and Prophets. Each time an icon is shown there will be an accompanying article. It is important to note that in the early Christian church the secular art and iconography were identical until the eleventh and twelfth centuries. Travel with us through time and witness a rich heritage. |
